4 Reasons You Should Consider Going for SmartLipo

While there is an increasing number of options available for people who are struggling with obesity, a lot of people have been wary of surgical procedures like liposuction, and for a reason. Traditional liposuction does have its fair share of risk, which is why many don’t even consider it as an option. But SmartLipo is completely changing the world of obesity treatment by offering a much safer alternative to liposuction that is accessible to anyone. Here are some of the reasons you should consider the procedure.

SmartLipo is Much Less Intrusive Than Traditional Lipo

The way SmartLipo works is very different from traditional liposuction. For one, it’s a much less intrusive process. With traditional liposuction, a tube, referred to as the cannula, is inserted surgically in problems areas to extract excess fat. With SmartLipo, on the other hand, a laser is used to heat and liquify fat and allow it to be expelled naturally during the elimination process.

It Can Eliminate Sagging Skin and Cellulite

One of the more common complaints people have about traditional liposuction is how it has a tendency to leave skin sagging after the procedure. However, with SmartLipo, you’re left with much tighter skin around the treated area. The main reason for this is that the heat generated by the SmartLipo laser ramps up the natural production of collagen in your body, which allows it to start rejuvenating itself naturally.

Fast Results

With SmartLipo, some patients may start seeing results almost immediately. Usually, the younger the patient, the shorter the recovery time. Other factors that may affect the results is the body’s tendency to retain fluid. If your body retains more fluid than average, results might be slightly slower, but you should see results within the first month in most cases.

Incisions Are Much Smaller with SmartLipo

Another great advantage of SmartLipo is how small the incisions are compared to traditional lipo. This means that your surgeon won’t have to make as big incisions in your thighs, buttocks, abdomen or any problematic area, allowing you to recover much faster.

Speaking of recovery time, traditional liposuction patients may be out of commission for weeks, maybe months. SmartLipo patients, on the other hand, can get back to work in as little as a week following the procedure. You might feel some discomfort for a day or two, but you should be able to go back to most of your usual activities. And the amount of discomfort and swelling you’ll feel will be dismal compared to traditional liposuction.

If you want to know how long the recovery time would be for your particular procedure, you should contact a London Medical and Aesthetic Clinic and schedule an appointment with a surgeon that will be able to assess your situation better.

Not only is SmartLipo much safer than traditional lipo and is much less intrusive, it’s becoming the method of choice for many patients. So, if you were still on the fence about the whole procedure, we strongly success you set up an appointment with a surgeon and see if the method is really for you.
